Sustainable Technology & Energy Practices

Sustainability might be a recent buzzword to some, but it’s been ingrained in Ledalite’s culture for well over a decade. We’ve focused a considerable amount of resources on directly addressing issues related to pollution and global warming.

Reflecting our ongoing commitment to our customers and to the environment, Ledalite continues to develop innovative products using advanced technologies that conserve energy, reduce overall lighting costs and enhance lighting quality and visual comfort.

Corporate Initiatives

Internally, Ledalite is also actively engaged in employee-driven corporate initiatives which support the ecoSTEP program. As a leader in implementing sustainable business practices, Ledalite is continuously developing energy efficient optical systems for luminaires, operating a highly efficient 250,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, partnering with forest and waste stewardship councils to reduce water and energy consumption, and initiating “green teams” to help increase employee productivity and engagement.

Our ecoSTEP program highlights ways to reduce our carbon footprint and move towards a more environmentally responsible future. We have always been at the forefront of new product innovations and technologies, but more importantly, engaged in green initiatives to help create and maintain a more viable ecology.

Product Initiatives

Ledalite’s ecoSTEP initiative highlights lighting solutions, such as the new energy advantage 25W TT5 lamping option, which provide significant energy savings and reduced environmental impact while maximizing the quality of the luminous environment.

25W Energy Advantage Lamp

The new Energy Advantage 25W TT5 lamping option for Pique, PureFX, Vectra and Voice luminaires can be applied at 8'x 10' or even 10'x10' centers - saving costs and energy without sacrificing lighting quality.

In combination with Ledalite’s revolutionary MesoOptics® technology, the new 25W TT5 environmentally friendly lamping option provides unparalleled energy savings while maintaining optimal illuminance levels. Utilizing a standard 40W TT5 ballast, the new 25W Energy Advantage lamp has similar lumen output to a 40W TT5 but consumes LESS energy, contains LESS mercury and requires LESS maintenance and FEWER luminaires for a wide range of open plan spaces including libraries, offices and public areas.
